Welcome !

This is the official website of Boy Scout Troop 57, chartered by Heatherwood Baptist Church, based in Newnan, Georgia.  We are an active group of Scouts and Scouters committed to living the Scout Oath and Law.

Our Mission is to develop skills, strong character, and Scout craft skills in boys of our community.  More than ever, America needs the leadership qualities, citizenship awareness, and character development that Boy Scouting can provide.

As a Scout-run organization, we utilize the skills and leadership abilities of our Scouts to conduct creative and engaging activities, meetings, and outings. Involved Scouts, Scouters and parents provide opportunities for our Scouts to participate in training, service, leadership, and advancement opportunities.

We meet on Thursday Evenings at 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. year-round.

Service Hours Opportunity: Cherokee Rose Event

Posted on Oct 28 2021 - 2:40pm

Event Details from Council.....

Cherokee Rose memorial tournament for Chuck Frazier, who was involved with the clay shoot company and exemplified a Helpful spirit. This is a great opportunity for your scouts and families to have a fun weekend under the pines.

Posted on Oct 25 2021 - 8:26pm

Please register for the Nov. 12-13-14 camping/hiking weekend. As a reminder, we need adults as well! The Scouts have decided on Camp Thunder/FRA as location, since we have a goodly number of newer scouts - terrain is easier and the focus can be on trying out gear and best practices. Each Scout should plan on cooking his own meals (so you'll need a way to heat food if you don't eat all cold.)
